Homeschool children in grades K to 6 Tuesday, April 21st: Barnes & Noble Homeschoolers Day from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. We will have four events going on simultaneously throughout the store just for Homeschoolers, including a special storytime and crafts for younger children, a scavenger hunt for middle school-aged children and games for high school-aged students. These events will have an environmental theme to tie in with Earth Day on April 22nd. At the same time, we will have a book talk for parents in the Café. This year we ask that you donate some flowers or money (suggested $5 or so) that will be used to purchase large planters, flowers, potting soil, mulch and materials. A team of volunteers from our group will meet to clean the grounds and arrange these planters at the Rescue Mission. | PSAT Registration information: You or your student should contact a local public or independent high school. Call the school's main number and ask to be directed to whoever handles the PSAT/NMSQT arrangements. Be sure to do so well in advance of the mid-October test dates. If the school seems resistant, you should ask another school in the area.
